Create Remotion videos
From a brief to an editable project
Remotion is Animatiq's default video engine. Animatiq plans and builds React-based video compositions, then renders the formats you need. You can direct changes in chat without starting the project again.
What it is
Remotion is an open-source React framework for making videos with code. Each scene is a React component, and the video renders from that code. Animatiq uses Remotion as its default engine, so a project you start here is an editable Remotion project.
Remotion projects can be as short as one scene or as long as a full explainer. You can read the code, change it, and render it again. A component you build once can run in many videos. A change to one scene is a change to one component, so the rest of the project stays as it was.
The hard way
Each new video starts with project setup, unless you keep a template from the last one. Building a Remotion video by hand means setting up a Node project and writing a React component for every scene. Each part adds work before the first frame appears. You would need to do the following:
- Set up a Node project and install the Remotion packages.
- Write React components for every scene, including titles and transitions.
- Manage images, fonts, and audio files, and load them into each scene.
- Set the timing for each scene and each animation by hand.
- Set up rendering on your machine or on a cloud service.
- Debug timing and layout problems by rendering test frames.
With Animatiq
With Animatiq you do not need to write React. Formats offered today are 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1. You review the generated scenes on the timeline before you render.
Animatiq runs the production steps for you. You start with a prompt and finish with a video you can still change. Model access and project limits depend on your account.
The flow runs in this order. Publishing and scheduling to connected channels is live.
- Write a prompt, or paste a brief, a URL, or a script.
- Review the plan. It lists each scene and the message in each scene.
- Animatiq builds an editable project from the plan you approved.
- Change text, timing, or color on the timeline, or ask for changes in chat.
- Render the project. Every project stays editable after the render.
- Publish the video, or schedule it to your connected channels.
What you can make
The same approach works across many kinds of video. These use cases show common starting points:
- Product launch videos that show one feature in motion.
- Explainer videos with diagrams that build one step at a time.
- Animated data stories with clear scales and plain takeaways.
- Logo and brand animations built around your mark.
- Social video cutdowns for short vertical formats.
Built on reusable components
Animatiq has a catalog of more than 350 reusable motion components and blocks. Use them for titles, lower thirds, transitions, logo stings, and data scenes. Each component exposes options you can adjust for your project.
Describe the motion you want, such as a title that enters on a beat or a chart that builds in order. Animatiq writes the component for it, and you review the result on the timeline.
Choose a component by its purpose, such as a logo sting for an intro or a lower third for a speaker name. Reusing one component across scenes keeps the timing and style consistent from one scene to the next. Browse the catalog to see components in use. For definitions of the motion terms used on this site, see the glossary.
Before you start
Do I need to write React code?
No. Give Animatiq a brief and source material. The agent builds the composition, and you can request changes in chat.
Which video formats can I start with?
The composer supports landscape 16:9, portrait 9:16, and square 1:1 projects.
Can I reuse an existing motion component?
Yes. Browse the catalog examples for reusable components and their customization options.
What is Remotion?
Remotion is an open-source React framework for making videos with code. Animatiq uses it as the default engine.
Can I still edit the project after render?
Yes. Every project stays editable after render. Change the scenes and render again.
Can I publish or schedule the video?
Yes. Publish the render or schedule it to your connected channels.
Do model access and limits change by account?
Yes. Model access and project limits depend on your account.
